Systems Access

Access to Edubase and COLLECT

Edubase is the DfE’s register of schools and can be found here:

All schools are required to maintain their entry on Edubase and to ensure all details are correct. The information on Edubase is used as the basis for data collections (including expected returns) so if your entry on Edubase is not correct, you might not be expected by the DfE to upload a return to COLLECT (which, in turn, would mean losing out on being considered for funding).

COLLECT (Collections On-Line for Learning, Education, Children, and Teachers) is the DfE’s data collection portal and can be found by logging into the DfE’s Secure Access site:

All schools are required to have at least one registered user (the school approver) with username and password to allow access to the site for the submission of data returns and to manage other users at their school.

Please note that the Education Systems & Data Team has no access to the system (beyond our own user access) so we are unable to resolve any issues. Please use the DfE Service Request form to request help.

FFT Aspire: Access for schools

Traded Service information

Access to FFT (Fisher Family Trust) Aspire is provided as a Traded Service. The LA subscribe to (and pay for) the service for all schools and schools are then able to buy the service at a greatly reduced price.

Pricing for 2016-17 is as follows:

Infant £70
Primary <= 100 pupils £70
Primary >100 pupils £110
Secondary £510
All through £510

How it works

Once subscription to the Traded Service has been confirmed, we provide access to FFT Aspire’s Admin site for one user in the school who functions as the administrator. The administrator then creates all other school accounts for the FFT Aspire data site, as well as for other administrators.
