Guidance on Managing Health Care in Schools and Settings
The aim of this new guidance is to help settings to develop policies and procedures on managing children’s health care needs and to put in place effective management systems to support individual pupils with medical needs.
Work Experience – new guidance
New guidance has now been produced to help schools ensure that students remain safe whilst on a work experience.
New Health and Safety - Management System
As of 1 January 2014 Customer Support Group (CSG) will be launching a new, online platform for you to record, review and investigate accidents, incidents, and manage hazard reports for your school only on staff, pupils, visitors etc.
The Virtual Health and Safety Management System (VHSMS) will allow all staff to report an incident from any location and device with internet access and notify you of this by automated email without the need to log into a system. You will then be able to log in, view the report, add your comments, upload supporting documents such as photographs, Risk Assessments and Witness Statements and investigations. Following this, a member of the SHaW team will review the record and either ask you to complete further actions or close the case off.
