The Barnet School Food Network
A free, local network developed as part of the Barnet Public Health–led School Food Standards Programme.
This network brings together School Food Leads—those responsible for coordinating food provision across the full school day—as well as any staff involved in planning, delivering, or supporting school food. It provides a welcoming space for schools across Barnet to connect, learn, share ideas, and work collaboratively to enhance the food experience for pupils.
What is the network about?
The Barnet School Food Network is designed to support schools to improve the quality of food provision and adopt a whole-school approach to food. Through regular opportunities to engage, members can:
- Share best practice and learn from peers
- Explore common challenges and solutions
- Access expert guidance and professional support
- Stay up to date with relevant news, resources, and local initiatives
- Build confidence and knowledge in delivering high-quality school food
- Help to raise the profile of school food in Barnet and champion its importance
Whether you are leading on school meals, supporting food education, or involved in any aspect of school food provision, we encourage you to get involved.
Join the Barnet School Food Network to connect with others, gain support, and help shape the future of school food across Barnet.
